The artist behind Rose Colored Pets..
Hello! My name is Jennifer Rose,
My love of pets and joy in art led me to start Rose Colored Pets—a way to beautify memories of happy, faithful, and loving pets in their owners’ homes. I’d love to share a little about my journey. How the art started…
Growing up in a homeschooling family, my parents were always searching for meaningful, creative ideas to introduce to us kids. One snowy winter in 2019, my dad spearheaded a family art project. For three months, we gathered at our living room table once a week to paint together.
I became fascinated with the way water and paint flowed and blossomed across the page. That winter, I decided watercolor was my medium. Over the past seven years, I’ve nurtured that fascination—spending countless hours watching the magic of wet-on-wet watercolor blend into beauty. Along the way, I discovered a love for bold color and expressive detail, creating lively, rose-colored portraits full of joy and personality. It’s truly magic on paper.
What about my love of pets?
Growing up on a 43-acre homestead, each of us kids cared for our own animals. My sister was the shepherdess, and I was the goat whisperer—until 2015, when dogs arrived on the homestead for the first time. That year I brought home my first Beagle puppy, Daisy. Since then, I’ve never been without a hound. I raised, cared for, and showed my Beagles as a teen, and to this day their happy-go-lucky charm still captures my heart.
Blending the joy of animals with the magic of watercolor felt natural. I’ve chosen to use my art to bless pet owners across the country with beautiful, heartfelt portraits of their beloved companions—past and present.
How it’s going…
Today, I paint from home, seeking beauty in every whisker and color in every soul-filled expression—elevating memory through art.

All portraits are done by Jennifer Rose here at Rose Colored Pets.

“Daisy will always hold a special place in my heart, she was my first hound and never to be forgotten. I painted her memory as the logo for Rose Colored Pets for keepsake that represents the love and loyalty only a true hound can give, thank you Daisy.”
